I Got Hit Pretty Hard

When I was in high school I played a lot of football. I would get up every day for practice very early in the morning and after school we would have a second set of practice. It was really hard, but all of our training and hard work helped us have a great team that year. There was one game in particular that we were doing really well. I had the ball, and I was running to the end zone. I guess I didnt see the other guy coming and he knocked me flat on my back. I think that my coach really appreciated all of the effort that I put forth even though I couldn’t do all of the training the other guys were doing. I wanted to help the team.

In the previous year, I’ve ran in a couple of marathons with my girlfriend. Back in October of 2010, we ran a 10k. 6.5 miles of straight running. Was I in shape? No. But I did complete the run. I started preparing for this marathon about a week before it started. I ran about 4 miles a day with some training shoes. Later on, I bout some mens running shoes. I had to break them in, so I started running in them. We were running this marathon to support cancer. I mean, it wasn’t an easy thing to do, and as it came closer to the end, it just got harder because thinking of the finish line made me want to go faster, but I couldn’t, I had no energy. It was so hard. But after, finishing the run, I was so proud of myself, but especially my girlfriend. There are more runs to come! And I’m definately looking forward to some harder ones.
